Game: Hopscotch - La Rayuela
Hopscotch ( la rayuela in spanish)
This game helps children develop visual-motor coordination. It is believed that this game was developed in Renaissance Europe and the topic is based on the book The Divine Comedy of Dante Alighieri, a work in which the character, when out of Purgatory and wants to achieve Paradise going through a series of NINE Worlds to do so. The player acts as a tab. You must jump from square to square, hopscotch, pushing the stone. In no case one should stand on a stone line.
There are many other forms of hopscotch played across the globe. In India it is called Stapu or Kith-Kith, in Spain it's Rayuela. In Latin America, golosa. In Russian it is known as классики . In Poland, it is called klasy, meaning classes. In Italy it is called campana (meaning bell), or mondo (meaning world). In the Netherlands and Flanders, Hinkelen.
